No, I didn’t invent the concept of dopamine dressing, let alone coin the term, but discovering the vibrant vestments from Single Tree Lane has allowed me to perfect the art. Fortunately for me, I happened upon these exhilarating fashions just when I needed them most. (Now.) Some people might not gravitate toward the brightest hues imaginable after being diagnosed with cancer, never mind that I am 70 (an age at which my own mother abruptly shunned all shades beyond gray and beige). But I need to boost my spirits now more than ever, and if a little color can lighten my psychic load, imagine what a LOT can do. Single Tree Lane has so many artsy, lively options that it was hard to choose. But I couldn’t resist the pop-art design and palette of their t-shirt embellished with elephants and bright stripes. I also finally winnowed my cart down to include this top and matching track pants in pink, olive, orange, and plum. The fabric is high-end, stretchy enough for comfort, and eminently breathable. All three pieces I ordered fit, well, to a tee. I have gotten countless compliments on them already. Best of all, I cannot stop grinning whenever I put them on. Take that, cancer!
